Before the liberel media gets all over this, I wanted to issue a public apology to my mother-in-law for calling her a part of the female anatomy (actually, I didn't say it outrite but I kind of did- called her a "see you next tuesday"). I understand that as a public figure I cannot just call people that. HOWEVER, after being with Mr. McCain these last few days I can definitely say that I picked the habbit up from him. He is always calling his wife a c**t!! Now, I know from reading the bible that one of the most important things that Jesus says is it is wrong to say something, just because someone else says something, so that is the reason that you say it to somebody else. But it is hard not to pick up the habbit. In just the last few days Mr. McCain has called his wife that word when she left the bathroom light on in the hotel, when she did the Suduko when he wanted to (he does the Suduko IN PEN! He is so smart), when she was on the phone with their daugher...its all the time actually.
Also, some folks have told me that Mr. McCain is crazy old. Unfortunatly I thought they were just talking about him being old (which he totally is), but they should have just told me he was CRAZY. I know I probably shouldn't write this here, but I think this guy is nuttier than a jar of Jif. Today he came into my room to talk to me and when my computer said "You've Got Mail" he got all angry at it. He said that the 'devil box' shouldn't talk like that and then he said that my computer lacked the courage to properly fight the war on terror. I told Steve about what Mr. McCain said and he told me that a long time ago Mr. McCain spent 5 years in a place where he couldnt yell at home electronics so I shouldn't criticize him.
Anywho, I hope to write real soon but now I have to practice my big speech.

I wonder if your daughter's pregnancy has changed you attitude towards sex eudcation in public schools and, your obviously failed, chastity until marriage program?
By the way, I am a liberal athiest single parent whose daughter recieved sex education in her public school beginning in 5th grade. After graduating high school she attended a prestigous Ivy League women's college. She is now 26 and in graduate school well on her way to a Ph.D. in classical archealogy. Despite having no religion at home (she did attend church with friends, but eventually rejected organized Christian religion)and receiving sex education in her public school she did not become sexually active until she was 24. True, she was not married but she was in a monagmous relationship for several months prior to becoming intimate and she knew how to prevent an unwanted pregnancy.
I am glad that you are so happy at the prospect of being a grandmother but I wonder if you are also looking forward to having a divorced daughter trying to raise her child/children as a single parent. The divorce statistics on teen marriages are truly staggering. Being a single parent is extremely difficult at any age even with family support. I was 32 when my daughter was born and their were many times I didn't think I could make it even though I also had a supportive family. I can't imagine becoming a parent at 17. I do wish your daughter and your family best wishes - your daughter especially will need them.

Oh, and I came to this link through VERY SHORT LIST which I thought was a kind of cool thing to get in my email everyday. I had started to see the liberal leanings in it - really, people, conservatives can spot liberal bias a mile away. This offering from them takes the cake.
