Thanks so much to Mary C. for sending me a link to this site, sarahpalineagle.com. A gentleman named Vann Black was in Ketchikan and took a photo of a bald eagle sitting on an American flag when he heard the news that I was picked to be Vice President! You should really go to his site and have a look. It is a lovely photo Vann, thank you for sharing it with the world. I think it really shows off the grace & beauty & subtlety of the Alaska way of life.
Incidentally, Ketchikan is where that so-called bridge to "nowhere" was going. Vann was kayaking, so that's fine for him but without a bridge other people can't come and see sights like this!
Yes, the birds have been expressing their opinions on Sarah's campaign, too. I remember when I first heard about McCain's choice, there was an owl in my backyard going, "Who? Who?" I didn't get a picture though - it was dark.
Too bad. If I had a picture, I'd be running to the bank, too.

Gosh, when *I* heard about Sarah Palin being chosen as McCain's running mate, a mockingbird was dive-bombing a neighborhood cat that got too close to the bird feeder. The cat was flattened to the ground to avoid being pecked. Not sure what that represents....maybe God's way of saying that we're going to invade another country real soon?

This is really interesting, and the comments are fascinating! Surely these are SIGNS?
My dog, Sperry, was in the backyard where a bug was flying around, pestering him. Sperry kept barking at the bug, ... and then he leaped straight up and snatched it out of the air. Even Sperry was surprised.
I hadn't thought about what all this means, but now I will start thinking about it. (And, I'm going to see if I can get a photo out of the video I shot of Sperry swallowing that bug.)
Sarah, do you think Vann could help me set up a cool website like the one he has! And, do you know if he would take a debit card!

I like this little bird too.

This proud eagle is representative of a state with the highest forcible rape crimes in the nation. But I'm sure Sarah has an abstinence plan for this too.

I don't think a woman in politics has ever faced this much shameless bashing. Even if you consider a right-wing nut, keep in mind what we were all reminded of by this song in the previous election:
Right-wingers Need Love Too

Does it look to you like the eagle on the picture on the right is crapping on the American flag???? Maybe this is a sign.
BTW, Sarah, I'm afraid your 18 days of fame may be coming to a close. The OJ trial is heating up, and many of your fans won't have the attention span to follow both of you.
Of course, all of this has been designed to keep the USA citizens' minds off of Wall Street.

When ever I watch Sarah Palin I feel like I am seeing a parody of her doing herself. Her constant use of colloquialisms has no place in a national forum. It makes her look simple and pedantic. In addition using such phrases in the context of dealing with foreign leader will only create confusion and possible convey mixed messages.

I think for most people like us outside of the US, we hope the new government will bring economic stability to the world. At the same time, we kind of hope that conservatives win the election, and this will give us more time to catch up with the US and surpass it.

As has been asked so many times of men, "If you can't control your family, how can you control those you supervise in your job." Palin Daughter is lauded for not aborting. That is laudible. Would it not have been the Crhistian way to have married first. Palin's daughter is an adulterer (sex out of wedlock). In the Bible, there is forgiveness, but you must admit, Bristol appears to have broken several of the 10 commandments and apparently adultery at least twice.
I'm surprised that we would have a presidental candidate who is running on family values and seems not to valure the Biblical ethics even with his choice of such a vice- president. Illegal immigration is not a sin.
I will admit that we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. In a lesser situation, it would not be a problem. When it is being tolerated by ostensible conservative religious people, it seems that this whole scenario is just plain wrong.

I was very sad to read that the reason Sarah Palin was chosen by John McCain. The Republican party has been trying to suppress the real truth that Sarah threatened to go public with the extra marital affair she has been having with John McCain. Apparently the new Palin child was fathered by Senator McCain. What a shame .

WHITE AMERICA
What the fuck is up with white AMERICA?
Is this one big voluntary retardation pact?
You have the recourses of Kings yet live like slaves.
Did Your European ancestors flee there class excavated shit hole to see you voluntary jump in the same hole 3000 miles further west?
Smallpox and guns cleared the land, the King was sent packing.
You are now free with money land and guns and you go to wall mart?
You are now free, with money, land and guns and pigeonhole yourself with a plumber’s helper called Joe?
White AMERICA why have you followed the cowards path?
Why sell your freedom for social accepts?
If it wasn’t for the freed slaves this country would not be America.

We have had over 10 Presidents that had no or little military experience. General Colin Powell today endorsed Obama. There is nothing wrong with Gov. Palin but she is not ready to be our President. She needs more experience and as for her rally tactics I find them disgraceful that she would incite hatred. Hatred that has marred this country for too long. It is time to put an end to hatred and bigotry. It is time to show love. I love Sarah Palin as a person and I want only good things for her. We must do what is good for the country, there is a huge difference. When you utilize lies and deceit to win your victory is tainted. When Gov Palin joined the ticket his points went up, but instead of fighting the good fight of faith, their campaign has decided to go the other route, the route that President Bush took to beat Sen. Mccain. This time it is not working because Americans are tired of the nonsense right now we want to know that we are going to elect someone who truly has a plan, someone who is knowledgeable, and someone who can move us back in the right direction.
I am praying you Gov Palin and I pray that you don’t agree with the racist remarks that are shouted at your rallies. The Bible says to give honor where honor is due and I have heard the many wonderful things that you have done in Alaska but after hearing your speeches at rally I have found that there is no honor in any of them or the people who scream such horrible things as "kill him".

She is the head of a state with a small population, which means she only fooled a small portion of americans the majority knows shes not a smart person, she is only as smart as the talking points her people give her,she tell lies just like a lot of the fools running the republican party, she can't even govern her teen age child so how can she govern a large country, if Obama's oldest child was old enough to have a child and was pregnet the republicans would go crazy and would be very disrespectful because thats what the republicans do they tell lies and work on fooling people who's not informed about them all they want to do is give tax breaks to the wealthy get their kick backs and fool middel class white america and make them think they are different from the rest of america but look now middel class white america were all in the same boat and all the republicans want to do is give tax cuts to the rich instead of helping america get back on it's feet, wake up republicans you should be americans first.

That was a powerful message in your speech to the Tea Party when you stated that the movement does not need a designated leader. I would like to see you expand on that view and in future speeches say "we have seen what happens when someone is elected under the mantra of being a cult figure, and how that gives the false impression that then he/she has all the answers and can impose his/her will upon the people despite the wishes of the people he/she is supposed to represent", or words to that effect. Good luck to you in your future family and political plans.
