Palin, you are unqualified to be President of the United States and you should spare you and your family the ridicule of continuing your egotistical pursuit and drop from the race. Your announcement of a good ol’ fashioned shotgun wedding is embarrassing you and your family.

I am glad your daughter is keeping the baby, as I support your pro-life position, but you are not nearly qualified to take this position and you should recognize this. Take another run when you have had time to craft your message and get your house in order.

This is blog is embarrassing!

Congratulations!

Please remember not to use the word "Choice" in talking about this.

For example: "Bristol chose to keep her baby." That's what McCain says, and it sucks. There was no choice involved.

Got it?

So, our possible Vice President of the United States - a heart beat from the Presidency has five children and one being special needs. She is also dealing with her daughters teenage pregnancy and now a shot gun wedding. It sounds like her family needs her more than the state of Alaska or the United States of America. Could becoming pregnant at 17 be a cry for attention? For help from a mother that seems very busy trying to grow her political career. I just think if you are going to try and run the country you might want to make sure all is going well at home. God help us all!

I didn't believe it at first... but I've done just a bit of digging.

Gov. Palin did not announce "her" pregnancy until a month before the Trig was born. (She'd have been seven months pregnant when she announced this, and apparently hiding it VERY well.)

Gov. Palin was in Texas when "her" water broke, a month early. While experiencing a high-risk pregnancy (her own age, carrying a Down Syndrome baby, and having signs of impending delivery a month early), she DECIDED TO FLY TO ALASKA to have "her" baby in a town of 4,500 people.

Apparently, the flight crew didn't notice that a woman about to deliver was boarding their plane.

Palin did not take maternity leave. Fine. BUT THIS IS AFTER DELIVERING A PREMATURE SPECIAL-NEEDS BABY!!!!!!!!!!!

Of course, this evidence is circumstantial. I'd like to see the birth certificate. And if it's shown that she IS the mother, I'd like to see a genetic test (since she's Governor of the state in which "she" gave birth).

This is shameless. I'm sure this was devised to poke fun.
I'm not even a supporter of the McCain/Palin ticket or am I for Obama/Biden - but this blog is just going too far! I am hoping that the actual author isn't a democrat or a disgruntled republican. Hopefully you are a bored foreigner just playing with the notion of American politics.

The situation could be more embarrassing than a daughter's pregnancy. For example, Palin could already be elected to office, have an affair with someone half her age, then lie and deny it ad infinitum until she's shamefully forced to admit to it.

Wait. That's already been done by a Democrat.

O.K., how about this hypothetical: Palin, not yet appointed to office, could be in the middle of her campaign drive and still finds the time to have an affair while her husband battles a terminal illness. The scandal is leaked, but she lies and denies it ad infinitum until finally she's shamefully forced to admit to it...

Oops, that's been done by the Dems, too.

Yep...those liberals are saints, aren't they? Always trying to one-up the conservatives, and in this case they succeed.

JoshA

Jon, former House Speaker-elect Bob Livingston is not a Democrat, and neither is Senator David Vitter. Those are the two situations you're describing, right?

Sarah, congratulations on Bristol's baby.

What has this country come to? How can you accept nomination for Vice President with all of these "issues" and problems? I was a Hillary supporter who thought about voting for McCain. But now my choice is clear. Palin has absolutely no control over her own house, and she would become president if, god forbid, something were to happen to McCain? And, what kind of "feminist," is she anyway?

Major Mel Funkshun

Sarah baby, I like think you are like totally haaawwwttt! And you really know how to use those girl parts, 5 kids!, even if you don't want to relly own them, thats like Todds property! And Todd, if you read this, I caught grampa checking out Sarah babys cute tush on CNN the other day, you might wanna take him out for that hunting trip too, if you catch my drift.

Scott

This is so stupid. An analagous situation would be conservatives charging that liberals have suddenly become churchgoing pro-lifers. How hypocritical!!!!

Actually, I'd think the libs would applaud a teenage pregnancy. It's amoral, which is their code of (no) conduct. If it feels good, do it.

um... do some of your commenters realize this is a joke?

Hyprocrites

Forget about the pregnancy...life happens! Why is she forcing her daughter to get married at such a young age? Is this a case of one mistake deserving another one? Repukes, condemning marriage between gays, but supporting unwanted or shotgun marriages and calling it family values. Just like your stance on anti-abortion, but pro death penalty.

JulieD

I just want to encourage you and your family and especially your daughter. Kids make mistakes, but....that little baby is not a mistake!!! it is a gift from God! I know because I am the Grandmother of a 2 year old little lady and a 4 year old young man! Both are the results of teen pregnancies! Yes we were disappointed with our boy's choices, but we rejoice at their decision of LIFE! We too are in our 40's and never saw this coming, but the parents have gone on to school, and are still looking toward the future! We never made them marry. We wanted good healthy relationships first and secure little ones. They are both very loved!! They have lots of Grandmas and Grandpas to love and spoil them. When the time is right and the relationships grow and mature, maybe in God's time the kids will marry, but until then, we love and care for them all! Please give Bristol my love and tell her that not all are judging. Because you know what? We have all made mistakes...just not all have been caught!

greely

Check spelling & grammar. A sign of how well educated she is. We should feel sorry for this family. They seem to have too much on their plate, with a son going to Iraq, a pregnant teen daughter, a Down Syndrome baby son, & 2 other children that will need some type of attention. We all understand that women who seem to be able to "do it all" have lots of help, & that's exactly what sets her apart from the "ordinary" folks who she is trying to portray. Anybody can come across as gutsy. What we need is substance & experience.

Robert

I think there's more to this story... don't be surprised if the next report says that Bristol had a MISCARRIAGE!!!! This group may have been caught in a bad lie and now it's getting worse. The cover up may be on!!!

observant reader

Wow.... why are so many people afraid of Sarah Palin? She has five children. That's great! Her daughter will have a baby and both Sarah and Todd Palin will give their daughter unconditional love and support. That's what every loving parent does! Her youngest son, Trig has downs syndrome and all of the sudden you all feel sorry for her? Come on! Just because Trig has downs syndrome does NOT mean he deserves to be looked down upon! This shows me that Sarah cares for her children and husband, Todd, this shows me the true values of being there for your family, no matter what.

I'm a Deaf person and I work hard earning my living just like everybody else! We all have our struggles in life. Sarah Palin is simply running to be vice-president of our country. Now, yes, she's running for public office on a national level. She will get all kinds of attacks on her from those that are fearful of her. But attacks on her family will just make her and her family stronger than before. Their love for each other is the upmost importance to them.

If you're vetting her for these things, then, in my view, you're vetting her of what hones her strong characteristics to be able to overcome hardships and moving forward.

But it seems to mean that all of these nasty attacks on her family and her children simply show me just how fearful you of her. If she is that formidable of an opponent that you have to look down on her daughter and her son ,Trig, then maybe you should reconsider what makes a true voter.

In the meantime, I truly believe that Sarah Palin will make an excellent leader of our country. Kudos to her and her family. Trig.... never let people tell you you're not normal. We're people first, disability second. :)

Go for the Vice-Presidency, Sarah! May God smile on you and your family!

This blog is ridiculous. And possibly illegal since you are posing as someone else and half of the people's comments I have read are dumb enough to believe that this is Governor Palin speaking. It's actually just sad that someone would be so cruel hearted to disrespect another human being like this. This is nothing short of a bully on the playground making fun of someone who cannot even defend herself. Even Barack Obama knows the boundaries of respect and decency and would not stoop to this level. He is someone to be respected as well as Governor Palin.

hehe you funny, doesnt baby jesus allow women to get all up on the baby's "existing" business when they dont feel like having it? why would he allow you to get all up on these women´s business too. this is the new millenium madame, women are the new men, men are the new children, and babies and fetuses, who cares about them? plus, and you must agree with me, could you say they could possibly be christian already? I doubt it.

i agree with those who feel there is more to the story than we know about. interesting about her child if it's true she was in tx? is there any proof to that story? i think the real issue is the hypocrisy of the republicans who impeached clinton for having a 'private' moment. if this were a democratic person and their teen daughter were pg, it'd been a different story. you can bet on that. i think someone was right when they said it may have been a ploy for attention or just getting out of the house??? you're right, she has no time for both family and doing the job that needs her attention as v.p.

Okay, now we’ve regressed into the Clinton era.

Bill wasn’t impeached for having an affair, it was for the crime of perjury and witness tampering, which was handed down by Judge Susan Webber-Right. If my memory serves correctly Bill was given a summary conviction because he decided to do it in an in-your- face performance before the bench.

It does beg the question why any person who holds the highest office in the land would throw it all away over a third rate felony? And, why is it always so necessary for the left to rewrite history?

It’s not my fault the 90’s are generally referred to as the Era of Dysfunctionalism.
